The building that currently serves as Loft & Rails has a storied history, originally constructed by the Army Corps of Engineers to support the war effort during a time of national need. Strategically located, it allowed trains to easily unload critical supplies right next to its sturdy structure, facilitating efficient logistics during an era when transportation was crucial.
Over the decades, this versatile space has seen a myriad of businesses calling it home. It has operated as a lumber yard, where timber was processed and distributed; a print shop, providing essential materials for construction and decoration; a furniture store, showcasing craftsmanship and design; and a warehouse, serving as a hub for storage and distribution. Unfortunately, aside from the installation of vinyl siding several decades ago, the building has seen little investment, resulting in deterioration from years of neglect and the relentless passage of time.
In August 2022, however, a new chapter began for this historic property when it was purchased with a vision for revitalization. Over the past two and a half years, extensive remodeling initiatives have been implemented, breathing new life into the structure while maintaining its historical integrity. Today, Loft & Rails offers a stunning high-end venue, blending industrial charm with elegant design. We warmly invite you to schedule a tour and experience the unique atmosphere for yourself, where modern sophistication meets a rich historical backdrop.
